Yup. More pictures of Professor Nucleo McRaven. The reason I have so many pictures of him saved in my archives is because he's one of the few characters I was able to draw with relative competence. (I don't like the way he looks in the far right picture, but Cory was drawn pretty well there.) When I look at my old pictures of Chance, Sesa, Deuce, and some of the others there's just no way I'd want to post them. It also helped that he was in almost every single episode I bothered to storyboard (I had far many more scripted than I actually drew), and almost every picture of him was drawn by me. (I sometimes had another person who helped with my storyboards, but I got rid of everything that wasn't drawn with my own hands.)     Some more storyboards of Starla and Nucleo. In the left one, they're discussing an issue of morality with other (offscreen) IA characters. In the right one, Nucleo is finding it difficult to believe what Starla tells him about her place of origin. Well, that's bizarre. Storyboard of Nucleo McRaven...with a tail! While some mountain devils, like Bazil Kyradius, do have tails, 'Cleo normally didn't. I'm glad that didn't stick.     More storyboards. Nucleo attempts to make a deal with Kraken - he'll return his medallion in exchange for Cory's life. But of course, the evil bastard breaks his promise. Large group sprite picture. Nucleo is on the far left wearing his mage cloak. These storyboards were water damaged. Notice how it took out all the black outlines and some of the color...except directly around the face area. Very weird...(These are from two completely different sets of storyboards, so, no Nucleo is not confusing a horrified Christopher with his daughter.) These two, however, are consecutive panels. One was in the part of the box that got soaked and one wasn't. The first panel is essentially what they should both look like. But in the second one, the black outlines were washed away. In case anyone's wondering what's going on here, Samantha was acting a little funny. This was from before they knew she was an android. They were trying to flee from some villains, when Sam, who had been slightly damaged in an earlier fight, suddenly stopped walking and started babbling some technical jargon. Prof. McRaven, having no idea WTF is going on, is trying to get her to come to her senses before they get caught.     Some sketches of Nucleo McRaven using his bo staff. It's kind of hard to believe that I'd go from doing stuff like these to this, but at least I've shown some improvement over the years. Thank you so much, ArcSoft PhotoStudio 5.5 for letting me sponge out the parts of this drawing that my idiotic traitorous drawing partner did years ago. I'm glad most drawings of Nucleo, Christopher, Cory, and Samantha were mine.        Left: I don't remember what this is from. It looks like it's after some kind of battle because his shirt is torn up. Middle: Unfinished conceptual art. Right: One of the few pictures I have where he's actually doing what a professor normally does. |
