Nucleo McRaven Scrapbook (Page 4)

Left: Nucleo biting the shiznits out of Honen Calzoun. (I hated Honen's original color scheme, so I converted the picture to black and white.) Right: I thought that was a nice drawing of Prof. McRaven from an old panel, especially considering how bad my skills generally were back then.

Prof. McRaven finds Christopher running away with a circus. I *hate* the way Nucleo is drawn in that picture, but I do like the way Christopher looks. It's one of the few times when he appears somewhat sad and vulnerable, unlike how he's usually very happy-go-lucky.

Some old rough storyboard sketches. (I told you I had a lot of these.) Just like Thundercats and Yu Yu Hakusho, IA had its own "little guy riding on the big guy's shoulders" duo with Christopher and Nucleo (yeah, I know it looks hilarious. That's why I'm posting it.)

Another Dark Mage Nucleo sketch. Not really my best one, either.

Nucleo after getting whacked repeatedly with a tree branch by Starla.

Under normal circumstances, Prof. McRaven is one of the kindest and most patient characters around...but he could become one really ugly motherfukker when he was angered. He looks so uncharacteristically psychotic in the righthand picture, I was hesitant to post it...

Christopher holding a really badly-drawn Nucleo on his shoulders. Yes, that was before I redesigned Prof. McRaven. Now you see what I was talking about when I said he looked terrible. At least it's not the two-toed or four-toed version, though. (Trust me, you do not want to see the two-toed version of Nucleo. No one needs to see that.)

Left: Professor McRaven finds an old photograph. Center: Umm...go long? Right: You know, I could be really cruel to that mountain devil, sometimes...

More fun with Prof. McRaven. I think he's drunk or drugged in that first picture. In the third picture he's biting the shiznits out of Bazil Kyradius. (I didn't post the rest of Bazil because I don't like the way he was drawn.) It's too bad I don't still have the one where Nucleo bit down on Kraken's arm and wouldn't let go.

This is my favorite "old" drawing of Professor Nucleo McRaven that I have in my archives. As usual, there are still a few things about it that bother me (mainly Tomi's big arm in the way), but he's about as adorable as a middle-aged mountain devil can possibly be in that picture.
