Very early conceptual drawing of Chance Tomasaro. That's why it looks a little goofier than usual. (This is the one the pog was based on, but the pog actually turned out better.) Chance is a character that gave me a lot of trouble. The early versions were either too generic or looked too similar to Sesa when they weren't colorized. I did this drawing when I was trying to rework the design. Yup, it's the infamous "Yearbook" picture, the one Chance and Sesa don't want you to see. My skills and their designs still needed MUCH work, but at least I could no longer complain that they looked too much alike. Goofy picture of a young Chance practicing with his sword. His feet are really weird there... Chance Tomasaro's Drago Sword. It has an emblem of a sun near the bottom shooting a single ray of light down the length of the blade. Eh, hee, hee...This is a picture of Chance from my college cartoon course. I'm not saying this to brag or anything, but I think I was the only person in that class who had unique, already-established characters to work with (or at least the only person who actually drew theirs for the class.) When the teacher would tell us to do a profile view, most people would draw something very generic in accordance with the class instructions, but I would try to draw Chance or Christopher or Desiree or some other IA/RAU character. Most of the times my drawings would turn out better when I just did them my own way, but it's still interesting to see the effects the class's techniques would have on them. This is the latest version of the "Massive Group Picture" that I abandoned working on because the designs of the characters have altered and improved since I started on it. (Click for larger and less dusty image.) Chance is right smack in the middle of the very bottom of this picture, but it's the older version with the cape (I used a different color scheme for some reason, though.) Chance and Talon. This one I drew mostly as practice for Chance, since I haven't been drawing him much lately and he needs to be "modernized", like Nucleo and Deuce were. I'm still working the "bugs" out of this design...
Another sprite of the caped version of Chance.
